چکیده

SAR data have a longer wavelength and stronger penetrating power compared with traditional optical remote sensing. Therefore, are more suitable for the estimation of above-ground biomass (AGB) forests. This study was aimed at evaluating sensitivity L-band full polarization to AGB. were improved estimate saturation point produced by AGB, found be estimating wide range extracted backscattering coefficients, decomposition variables, terrain factors. New parameters constructed from these their performance in predicting AGB evaluated. Significant variables added multivariate linear model. A statistical analysis showed presence multicollinearity between variables. ridge regression, random forest method (RF), principal component (PCA) introduced solve problem collinearity. In all three methods, regression model low, reaching it 150 t/ha. Better accuracy obtained RF No obvious incident detected established using analysis. could attributed low levels observed our area. provided accurate results (adjusted r2 = 0.90 rmse 14.24 t/ha), indicating that potential Additionally, models selected this study, being helpful combining various parameters. Model for Estimating Above Ground Biomass of Reclamation Forest using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Among various stand parameters, the density of biomass volume is oftenly used as an indicator on evaluating the forest growth succes. The forest reclamation, which is intended to restore the land cover by revegetation process, the evaluation of biomass content has been a critical issue. Forest reclamation is expected to restore the land function to a proper state that might give better environm...

Comparison and Evaluation of Three Methods for Estimating Forest above Ground Biomass Using TM and GLAS Data

Medium spatial resolution biomass is a crucial link from the plot to regional and global scales. Although remote-sensing data-based methods have become a primary approach in estimating forest above ground biomass (AGB), many difficulties remain in data resources and prediction approaches. Each kind of sensor type and prediction method has its own merits and limitations. To select the proper est...

Above-Ground Biomass and Biomass Components Estimation Using LiDAR Data in a Coniferous Forest

This study aims to estimate forest above-ground biomass and biomass components in a stand of Picea crassifolia (a coniferous tree) located on Qilian Mountain, western China via low density small-footprint airborne LiDAR data. LiDAR points were first classified into ground points and vegetation points. After, vegetation statistics, including height quantiles, mean height, and fractional cover we...
